Description

Each brownie is dense and fudgy under a drizzle of Belgian milk chocolate, with red and orange sprinkles and one white chocolate icon on top: a diya, a lotus, a lantern or a bowl of laddoos. Nobody sold moulds for these when we started, so we made our own. Put the box out with the mithai when everyone arrives.

Freshness and storage

Baked on the day of dispatch so they arrive rich and fudgy. They keep for up to a week at room temperature in the box, or freeze them for up to six months.

Good questions

When should I order for Diwali?

You can choose your delivery date in your bag. Diwali falls on Sunday 8 November this year, so order by 12pm on Thursday 5 November and your box arrives on Friday 6 November, the first day of the festival.

How many characters fit on each box?

It depends on the box. A box of 6 fits two rows of three characters, a box of 9 fits three rows of three and a box of 21 fits three rows of seven. The slab fits three rows of seven, and the XL slab fits three rows of 12. Shubh Diwali and Saal Mubarak fit on a box of 21 or either slab.

Are they vegetarian?

Yes, they're vegetarian and the sprinkles contain no shellac. Every brownie contains egg, so they aren't suitable if you avoid eggs.

How many letters fit on a box?

One letter or icon per brownie. A box of 6 fits two rows of three, a box of 12 fits three rows of four, and the XL slab fits three rows of twelve. Leave a row blank for icons only.

How fresh do they arrive?

Baked on the day of dispatch and posted tracked, so they land within a day or two, still fudgy. They keep for up to a week at room temperature.

Can I pick a delivery date?

Yes. Choose a date at the bag stage and we bake for that day.

Is your kitchen inspected?

Yes. Hackney Council inspected our kitchen on 2 February 2026 and gave it a food hygiene rating of 5, the top rating under the Food Standards Agency scheme. The inspection covers how we handle food, the condition of the kitchen and how we manage food safety.
